SPICY PRETZELS

2 bags small pretzel twists

1 package dry ranch dressing mix

1/2 cup canola oil

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper

Mix the dry ingredients. Put pretzels in a large plastic bag or Tupperware bowl with a lid. Pour the oil on top of the pretzels. Sprinkle dry ingredients over and shake well. Turn bag or bowl over every 15 minutes for an hour.

CARAMEL CORN

8-ounce package corn puffs

1/2 pound butter, melted

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup white corn syrup

1 teaspoon baking soda

Place corn puffs in large roaster pan. In 2-quart saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar and corn syrup and cook together for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and add baking soda. Stir well and pour over corn puffs. Stir until well-coated. Place in 250-degree oven for 45 minutes, stirring every 10 to 15 minutes. Cool on wax paper.
