Gentlemen Songsters
The Gentlemen Songsters, a double sextet of retired men who love to sing, will return on Wednesday, Nov. 30, to perform for the weekly luncheon of the Wilton Senior Center. The place is Ogden House, 100 River Road. The group sings four-part harmony and their program will include barbershop tunes as well as songs from Porgy & Bess and Oklahoma. Alma Hamilton is the director and accompanist.On this last Wednesday of the month, a team of chefs from Temple B’Nai Chaim and the Turnover Shop under the direction of Gladys O’Neil and Sharon Sobel will prepare the meal. All Wilton senior citizens are invited. The cost is $3. Make reservations through the Senior Center office, 203-834-6240. Festivities begin at noon, but juice and conversation are available earlier. Parking is limited — if you can, please car pool, have someone drop you off, or use Dial-A-Ride, 834-6235.
